hellenos dance competition

The next Hellenos dance competition, will be based on the gorean book dance by Doreen; The Dance of the Virgin Slave Girl. But don't be confused, this dance is NOT just for virgins! Embedded in in the Rules & Registration notecard is a description of the dance.

All are welcome, red silk, white silk, kajira and kajirus. The competition is Sunday 23 November 2008 at 1pm SLT.

***Dance of the Virgin Rules and Regulations**
Welcome to the Kajira and Kajirus Dance Competition in Hellenos. This contest is being sponsored by the city of Hellenos, the Hellenos School of Slave Dance and Razzy Riggles, owner of Chained Heat. You are familiar with many of the standard books dances, but there are several obscure dances not performed on a regular basis. This competition will be the Dance of The Virgin Slave Girl. There is a limit of 16 posts. There are no word counts, no line limits, no time constraint. You are free to dance your style.

Sunday 23 November 2008. The kajira contest will be at 1pm SLT. The kajirus competition will follow, approximately 2:30pm. Both competitions are held in the Hellenos Tavern!

RULES:
1. All slaves of Gor, red or white silk, male or female, may enter this competition with the permission of their owners. Kajirii and kajirae dance in seperate competitions. No team dancing.

2. You will provide a statement from your owner, showing permission to participation in the competition.

3. The first 10 applicants will be considered registered to participate on a first come, first serve basis. All registration must be completed, and will be cut off, 24 hours prior to the start of the contest. The Judges reserve the right to expand the quantity of contestants and/or limit the number from any one region, to allow for wider world representation, if necessary.

4. Hellenos will provide a safe environment for the dance competition attendees but assumes no liability nor responsibility for anyone's personal safety travelling to or from, nor away from the designated area of event.

5. All dances must be the original work of the kajirae performing it. Anyone discovered to be using material that was previously performed, borrowed, stolen, or written by another in any way will be disqualified.

6. There is a 16 post limit. There are no word counts or time limits. This is your time to express yourself freely. All dancers will continue to dance until the end of their performance unless commanded to stop by one of the judges. Any posts made after the command will be ignored and the dance will be judged as incomplete if necessary.

7. The contestants will be critiqued by a panel of three to four judges. There will be one alternate judge selected prior to the contest in case a judge becomes unavailable.

8. The winner will be the dancer with the highest sum score as determined by the panel of Judges, each using a 100 point scale. You will be judged in the areas of composition, authenticity, pleasure, originality/creativity, and expressiveness. The dancer with the highest cumulative score is the winner. In the event of a tie, the dancer with the highest originality/creativity score will be the winner. If still tied, the dancer with the highest pleasure score will be declared winner. If there continues to be a tie, the judges will deliberate further and declare a winner.

9. Hellenos will stream music during the dance competition. You may request a specific piece of music. Please have your requests to sarina prieto by Saturday, 23 November at 8pm SLT. If no music is requested, standard gorean tavern music will be played.
