The town of Tancred's Landing is seeking a Tavern Keeper. We are part of Project Saleria, united by "by the book" role play rules. Free housing above the tavern is provided to the Tavern Keeper. Because of the rough trade this position is not seen as appropriate for free women.

Job Description

The Tavern Keeper supervises slaves serving in the tavern, including state slaves, tavern slaves and private slaves sent to serve in the tavern. The Tavern Keeper acts as host and business manager for the tavern. Because of the rough nature of the tavern environment, this position is not seen as suitable for a free woman.

Duties:
* Oversee training of slaves to serve and dance in the tavern;
* Greet guests and visitors to the tavern;
* Manage guest rooms in the tavern;
* Schedule and hold regular tavern hours once or twice a week and advertise that the tavern is open in various Gorean groups;
* Be on hand at other unscheduled times as well for spontaneous role play as it arises;
* Support other town functions;
* Recruit slaves to serve in the tavern on a regular or occasional basis;
* Supervise assignment and completion of chores in the tavern.
* All free men in any position (except physicians or initiates) are expected to defend the town and its citizens in case of attack.

Job Description

The Chief Slaver "recruits" slaves to serve as state slaves to the town and provides training to them. He is responsible for the assignment of work duties of slaves. He is responsible for the sale of state slaves. State slaves are officially the property of the Administrator of the town but the Slaver acts as owner of the slaves in the Administrator's place. This postion may be filled by a free man or a free woman.

Duties:
* Actively seeks and recruits state slaves;
* Actively seeks and recruits another slaver(s) to assist him;
* Oversees training of state slaves (but can do so through other slavers or slaves);
* Assigns work to slaves, and slaves to various work locations such as the tavern, inn, baths, and to assist citizens in their work;
* Interacts with the slaves in meaningful role play;
* Supervises rent, sale, or placements of slaves to free persons (for role play coin only, not lindens);
* Support town functions;
* Ensures slaves receive medical treatment and attention;
* All free men in any position (except physicians or initiates) are expected to defend the town and its citizens in case of attack.
